US Senate poised to give gun dealers immunity from suits----

As soon as Friday, the US Senate may vote to grant gun dealers immunity from lawsuits in cases where a legal gun is used illegally. The gun dealers are claiming that they are facing a lawsuit crisis, but opponents cite their statements in SEC filings that state lawsuits do not have a material impact on their profit. The President has said he feels this is about fairness, and that if a gun is legal, the dealer should not be held liable for illegal conduct. The Republicans appear to have the votes for passage.
