Supreme Court Nominee Roberts had key role in 2000 Vote Recount

According to the Miami Herald, the Bush nominee for the Supreme Court, Judge Roberts, played an important behind the scenes role in the Bush effort to win the Presidency in 2000. He even paid his own plane fare to Florida to help the Bush legal team prepare. Was he a partisan enthusiast or just a mild mannered jurist? Expect a few questions about this during the hearings in September.
