Planning Commission Cites Safety--Denies Use of Old Drive-Up Window at old Associated Bank for future use

Evansville Planning commission was consisent with its past finding that the driveway proposed use for the Evansville Pharmacy pick up window was unsafe and found that the proposed use of the current banking drive-up of Associated Bank for the next owner was unsafe.

There was much discussion on the issue, but the council was unanimous that safety was the big overriding issue and that it was clear. The driveway exit is a blind one and risks pedestrians every time.

  1. Congratulations to the planning commission for taking safety into consideration for a change instead of what kind of tax revenue a business who may want a drive thru would bring. That drive way/ exit is awful, should not have been a hard decision.
