As a boy living near White Bear Lake in Minnesota, even though I lived 5 blocks from the Lake, I considered it my personal lake, and got used to swimming three times a day, and especially loved running down in the morn for the wake up splash. My dad explained the rules one night on the dock. He said, "Do you notice how all these cottages around the lake even though they may be neglected, have a huge power boat or sailboat? That is because the first rule of the Lake is to put the needs of the Lake first and make no excuses of why you can"t get to the Lake."
The SOLE committee will host a meeting on the current plan to restore Lake Leota on Wednesday, July 13th at 6:30PM near the soccer field at Lake Leota. Plan on attending.
