This is the annual meeting where all the electors of the various municipalities meet to approve the tax levy for the Evansville School District. Usually they have some financial information available about what their plan is for the future.
This might be a good time to see whether the school district is going to address the looming crisis of space that will confront the district unless a concerted plan between the municipalities and the school district can restrain the unchecked building boom. The revelation last week that the 10 year Smart Growth Plan objective for residential housing has already been sketched in with the approved projects on the books, has raised questions whether the school district will continue it's reactive stance to involvement in the problem or will become proactive.
