(Ed. note. Victor Paulson,95, is a longtime resident of Evansville. In this post he shares his memory about the early movies, and his first silent, "Birth of A Nation." This silent movie was released in 1915 and was based on the novel, "The Clansman" by Thomas Dixon. The book "The Clansman" was originally a propaganda piece for the KKK. The movie provoked riots in its day, and has provoked controversy ever since. Click on the post for a history of the movie. )
