( Ed. note. In this audio, a tribal leader of the Chippewa says that the prayer chanted tells of a dream after WWI that all nations would live in peace and be gathered together in good health. He speaks of the honor to be there watching the children representing all the nations as the ceremony opened.
As a sidenote---the Observer was seated midst some younger Evansville boys, and if one of the Native drummers had hinted of fainting or illness.....they were ready and in the beat to step forward. The future of percussion in Evansville is in good hands. Relax. )
