Recently one of our couple friends had a daughter that was getting married. Flush with excitement over the engagement, they began to talk of the marriage details.
Soon, after the discussions had ensued with all the family members----the excitement began to be replaced with anxiety. Yes. Just pure stress over the rising dollar amounts required in modern society just to maintain one's self esteem in the land of uptempo society.
Then the couple had a moment of quiet discussion. A closed session so to speak.
Then they announced that they were eloping to Mexico and would be married in a quiet ceremony there. If the parents and friends wanted to join them they were welcome.
Suddenly everyone relaxed.
Now it was a getaway. What fun! No problem.

The other night, a local pundit, as if to test The Observer, asked what I thought was going on with the biodiesel plant negotiations.
I pled ignorance.
Then, however, I did mention that this was a little like a wedding reception----where the bride and groom are NOT allowed to elope. Where the city as the party planner has to do its best to get all the details right. Right for the city, right for the parties, right for the taxpayer.
Yes, it's very much like making everyone happy in the wedding preparation business.
Everyone would like to elope. But alas----- that is not possible.
So. The Observer is just patient. I will just wait for the press releases knowing that these are difficult things to negotiate. "Chill" is the word. That's how I see it.
