  1. I'm reminded of Alice's Restaurant. Arlo asks us to walk in, to sing one chorus of the song and walk out. And I quote;

    You know, if one person, just one person does it they may think he's really sick and they won't take him. And if two people, two people do it, in harmony, they may think they're both faggots and they won't take either of them. And three people do it, three, can you imagine, three people walking in singin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and walking out. They may think it's an organization. And can you, can you imagine fifty people a day,I said fifty people a day walking in singin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and walking out. And friends they may thinks it's a movement.

    That's kind of what's happening with this resolution. If only Madison has a resolution the administration can scoff at the results. Once Milwaukee and Eau Claire are on board it may start to feel like a movement.

    I'm not a big fan of referenda but in this case it may be just as important to have a record of the sense of the people as anything. Now that the level of pol;itical discourse is rapidly approaching "Yes it is" vs. "No it isn't" "Is too" we need to go on record to show our disgust with the path America has been walking.

  2. What a bunch of nonsense and a waste of taxpayers $$$$$$.

    Doe's anyone really think a lame duck President from a state the Republicans have'nt won since Reagan cares what you think????

    We need to finish the job in Iraq or all of the lives lost were for nothing.

    Unlike Madison we have general elections this round I will vote no ton this ridiculous resolution.
