The Monroe City Council has authorized General Obligation bonds of over $500,000 to pay for the upgrade in software needed to implement the new public safety administration. I have covered this in an earlier post, but the new system will transform the way tickets are issued and the whole paperwork system. It will be paid for over 10 years.
Click on the post for the article in the Monroe Times. It is unclear whether once it is implemented that costs of the system will really rise. It is a transformation of how things are done.
Stay tuned to The Observer. Things are changing.
