Richard Woulfe--School Board Candidate-----
ReplyDeleteThe only way to effectively get through the difficulty of the budgetary crunches is to involve the community in the solution. Traditionally school boards have been token boards that have held their meetings in public and not interacted with the public as such. The public was priviledged to see what was happening.
During the buildup phase to the new high school, our former Supr Albrecht totally engaged the community. I would as board member urge the school board to engage the public and actually listen. What a totally new concept.
I have been open to many views on many issues over the past year on this site. I trust the public to make a judgement as to what kind of board member I would be.
I would also have open meetings and not sneeky meetings at 7am. Openess is more than a word. Is a way of conducting public business.
