I'm not certain we can "affect" these costs at this point so much as "prepare" for them. I am anxious to read what the others have to say, since I don't have any wonderful ideas to offer after a short pause to think it over. These are the kinds of problems that everyone is experiencing and so it's enormously helpful to have relationships in place with the leaders of other communities to learn how they are dealing or plan to deal with it. In my own home, we turned the heat down and broke out the sofa blankets and sweaters for our energy costs. I know our department heads are frugal and do what they can to hold down our costs. I also have gone to the State Capitol with representatives from Evansville Government to lobby for reasonable heath care costs. I'll do whatever I can, and clearly I welcome input on the ideas.
