At present, the city has only one TID, TID No. 5.
TID No. 5 will pay for the assistance provided for the
pharmacy. Currently, TID No. 5 is not failing, or
more precisely, it is too early to tell whether TID
No. 5 will fail or succeed. I have stressed with the
Redevelopment Authority that the financial plan for
TID No. 5 is predicated on attracting, over the next
few years, some large, private redevelopment projects
that produce more tax increment than they consume. So
far, we have not attracted any such projects.
