Click on the post for the discussion of Alderman Fred Juergens on the proposed TIF #6. The timetable for the TIF approval process has been established and the rewards have been itemized. The risks have not. The commercial and industrial development proposed is essential for Evansville to remain on the "growth bicycle." The "electors" as the "elect" will have to exercise their fiduciary duty to the citizens of Evansville and review the risks and decide. Stay tuned.
It sure is hard following up on all the "pro forma" versus actual spreadsheet analysis. The Observer is still waiting for a promised spreadsheet analysis promised back in February for TIF #5. Maybe we should wait till we see TIF 5 break out of the red ink before we commit to further TIF investments.
I have been thinking of naming the TIF 5 spreadsheet, "The Little Engine that Could, " or "How a little pub named Pete's Inn carried a whole TIF all by itself."
Stay tuned to the Observer for all the details. Remember. Evansville, Wisconsin. The Home of The Evansville Observer.
