  1. Our family no longer hunts after a great uncle accidently shot his 16 year old son. I can't imagine the heartbreak when this happens to someone else with an 8 yr old. I know nothing about firearms. Can an 8 yr old really physically fire one? Do they make guns for 8 yr olds? Maybe they do, and then I guess its understandable why gun manufacturers would want this law to pass. Where's the harm in waiting for your children to grow into young adults first? Could taking your 8 yr old fishing instead satisfy whatever need taking them hunting with guns would serve? I don't understand the need for this law in the slightest.

  2. What the law is trying to do is get more hunters. Kids are not hunting like they used to. I don't think it is a bad law the gun is to be carried by a adult, and they will be in direct supervision of a adult. That said, agree with it or not, but relating it closer to discussions we had a short time ago, if you feel this is a bad law then god forbid theye get this skate park through then kids under 12 should be acompied by a adult correct?
