Click on the post for an article in the St. Paul Pioneer Press on the new push in Minnesota to provide "transparency" in health care costs.
One unnerving section of the article is the comparison of shopping for health care to shopping for auto body work and how you hold up the estimates side by side----and then pick the cheapest. I don't know about your experience in the auto body area....It just isn't that simple....And it turns out in the health care case it isn't also---as is pointed out in the article------ you have to consider quality side by side too. That has been a lifetime in adjusting to in auto and I suspect that it takes a lifetime in the matter of bealth care.
Anyway, more transparency is good. You make the call.
