In order to increase the possibility of taxpayer approval, the Monroe School Board has chosen a 4 year non-recurring referendum proposal to voters.

With declining enrollment, conflicted school board goal setting, and only short term solutions, the prospects for the Monroe school district appear pretty dim. As was pointed out in the article, teachers are not attracted to school districts where there appears no secure future.

These schools , Monroe and Evansville got themselves into these positions. Spending money they don't have. If these were private company's these administator's would be out of jobs, for failure to balance a budget without sinking the company.
ReplyDeleteThe Evansville School district better think twice about thinking about any ref. here for the next 10 yrs. I know there are enough people who are very upset with the administration, they we could launch a very effective campaign againest any ref, and defeat it .
