  1. Back in the 90's,( like that was so long ago.) Ed Larson and some others wanted to start a pig farm outside of Albany. They were not putting it on any of their own properties they were going to/had bought land to put it on. Our family and other neighbors fought this for over a year, even though they did get the permits they needed, it never happened.. My thought at the time was why don't they just put it on their own land.? Let them live with the stink and water problems and what ever else came up. Well now he does have it on his own land and people still want to give him a hard time. One of the articles I have read about this is the water quality issue, yet there are pictures of his neighbor who was complaining about quality of water spreading the same thing this farm does. So who is to say really where one issue starts and another stops?
