WXMAN, our weatherman blogger, has sent us a scientific article on the science of Katrina. Since 1970, the prediction success of scientists has gotten steadily better. The prediction of 60 hours prior to Katrina was uncanny in its accuracy. Now, they are working to make it even better and earlier. The benefits of a further improvement could be enormous.
