Westside Water Update
I did contact Mr. Sauer (City Engineer) via email to ask what his findings were as far as the Culvert. I haven't had a response, but perhaps he took a long holiday weekend.
I copied both of my Alderman and Mr. Juergens was very quick to respond and has called for the Mayor to call a meeting for affected Residents, City Officials and Developers to discuss what needs to be done (he just sent this request via email this morning). Mr. Cothard (my other alderperson does not have an email address listed) so he will be receving the same concerns via snail mail this afternoon or Monday.
Has anyone heard if Mr. Sauer has had an opportunity to inspect the Culvert and if so what his findings were?

I have not received a satisfactory answer at this point (basically Mr. Sauer says everything is working as it should). However, I was extended the following invitation from Mr. Sauer, "......to attend the public works meeting April 23rd at 6pm at the public works bldg, 525 S. Madison Street and I will go over some exhibits, maps and time tables of improvements for stormwater control which have occurred over the last 3 to 4 years for the west side of the city."
ReplyDeleteI would suggest that anyone from the West Side that shares my concerns attend this meeting and be prepared to ask the tough questions.
