Primetimers Announce: Acrylic Painting and Knitting Classes

Acrylic Painting and Knitting Classes to be offered
at the Evansville Senior Center.
Jean Loesch will be offering several classes at the Senior Center

over the next few months. The first two classes will begin in April.

These classes are open to anyone but preference will be given to adults over 50 should the class be full. Future classes have been planned and include: Beginner Acrylic Landscape Painting

Beginning Crochet,

Painting Silk Scarves,

The Embellished Tote Bag

Absolute Beginner Acrylic Painting: Still Life
Have you ever wanted to pick up a brush to paint but were afraid

of the result? This class is for the absolute beginning painter.

The class will begin with mixing colors from just a few tubes of

paint. By the end of the class, students will take home a 16 x 20

still life painting on canvas or canvas board that can be framed for personal use. A list of specific supplies will be provided by the instructor upon registration.

Four classes from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.

April 24, May 1, May 8, May 15.

Cost: $35.00 plus painting supplies

A minimum of six participants / maximum of 12.

Knitting with Novelty Yarns:

(Participants must know the Basic Knit Stitch)

Ribbon, recycled silks, banana yarn, eyelash, or nubby cotton yarns

create lots of opportunity for one-of-a-kind scarves and accessories.

Learn about the many different fibers available for the hand knitter. Many knit examples will be provided. Participants will choose their yarns to knit triangular or rectangular scarves. A list of specific supplies will be provided by the instructor upon registration. (A 10% discount on yarns and needles will be provided to those who prefer to purchase their materials on the first night of class from the

instructor.)

Three classes from 6:30 – 8:00 pm.

April 19, April 26, and May 3rd.

Cost: $ 25.00 plus materials

A minimum of six participants / maximum of 12.
