It is interesting that while many taxpayers have lots of ideas and opinions about expenses, when it comes time to attend one of the budget meetings where the plan is reviewed for the upcoming year, few attend.
Even though the public does not participate or comment during these meetings, I have found them educational. The times for each of the departments is listed below.
One of the areas I am interested in hearing about is the capital budget, an area where there were problems last budget cycle. It should be an interesting discussion about what and when projects will be scheduled. We have lots of things on the table and not an unlimited amount of resources.
