On June 4, 2007, the Evansville Plan Commission will meet and consider a petition by O2 Investments, LLC for an annexation of 0.135 acres from the Town of Union into the city of Evansville.

Observer, I think you are off base when you suggest this annexation has anything to do with a hotel/motel. You can't build a hotel/motel on a parcel that is 0.135 acres in size, and south of Walker St. would be a terrible location for a hotel/motel. I think the entity requesting the annexation is different from the hotel developer you found on the Internet. My guess is this property has a failing ceptic system and needs annexation to hook up to the city sanitary sewer (as was the case with recent annexations on the south side of Fair St.).

Thanks Bill. You know how excited I get when I see annexation proposals near wetlands. I just assume it is something big. Yes. It might just be a septic system...... But then again.....
