Federal assistance for low income daycare subsidy had been flat for years, and the proposed subsidy from the state does not meet the needs of high cost residential areas---like Dane county.

ReplyDeleteThat was in several blogs last week and I thought it was a great tip.
It's too bad the state has to worry about paying for low income families day care. Why not send out birth control to people in the low income bracket. Why should I have to pay for someone who doesn't plan ahead according to their finances. I can see one " oops ". Three kids, come on. At the least anyone who gets state help should not be allowed the standard deduction for children. Why is it the states problem that you are able to have kids and not afford them?
ReplyDeleteI am having some serious issues for ' common sense' . You want to not pay for low income family daycare. But every once in a while you will hear about a child who dies being left unattended because there parents had to work and can not afford daycare. Its either work and feed your kid or don't and everyone starves. How tragic it is for any child to die because there parents have to make choices and don't feel like they have any choices. I suppose you don't want your money going for people's food stamps/cards either. Should they all starve? They most certainly should get the deduction on there taxes as they can use it the most. Not everyone lives a charmed life and its best not to judge as you never know when you may be in their shoes. By taking away these programs you are just hurting the innocent.
