Much impressed with Observer reporting today.
ReplyDeletePlunkett seems to be saying that if the number of students in the Evansville public schools increases by something like 10% our only option is spending between $30,000,000 and $45,000,000 on a truly massive construction program.
This looks ridiculous to me. A 10% increase in the number of public school students can be easily be dealt with by increasing class size by two or three students. Instead of increasing class size by a tiny amount for no cost the only choice we have is spending THIRTY to FORTY FIVE MILLION DOLLARS?
What in the hell is going on here? This whole business simply cannot be on the level.
What is there relationship Plunkett Raysich has with the school? Are they strictly getting the $24,000 for recommendations? I am assuming they will be getting the architectural work if new schools are approved? If that is the case it seems rather foolish to me. Can't an independant third party make recommendations to the community/school district?
ReplyDeleteNO WAY ARE WE GOING TO SUPPORT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
