Mr. Meyer, thanks for your time commitment to this issue. I know there is no solution to your health effects caused by the turbines by your home, but I truly appreciate the education you can provide to others before they make ill informed decisions.
ReplyDeleteIf the developers think there are no issues, why would Mr. Meyer dedicate himself to an issue that will gain him nothing. He is not a salaried employee from an energy company, or a salesman from a turbine developer. He is a walking example of the need for proper turbine siting. A standing ovation for Mr. Meyer and Mr. Wunch would have been appropriate in any other setting. After those two had spoken, the public hearing should have ended and this ordinance, or a stricter ordinance, should have been recommended to the town board.
I hope the reason the Plan Commission wanted to go over the ordinance as proposed was to increase the setbacks and further protect its citizens, if not, they will have failed everyone in the town of Union. If you do not believe me. Take the time like Mr. Meyer and Mr. Wunch did, drive two hours to the homes of there families, and call them a lier.
