Click on the post for the story from Ely, Minnesota yesterday as an April Fool's marketing campaign that announced that Canada was trying to buy Ely, Mn got attention all over the country.
Seems like a perfectly harmless way to get some fun tourist attention. But I wonder. If a town had mostly all it's real estate for sale anyway, and if it really was for sale, could there be a cut in the real estate fee? Maybe a 2% flat fee of sale price in the aggregate. Wow. Now that might be attractive.
