Typical! The dishonest, law-breaking, drunk H.S. football team does not abide by the WIAA code and gets to play, while the concerned, law abiding, whistleblower parent loses his job.
ReplyDeleteHow come Wisconsin has such a problem with alcohol abuse among High School students? hmmmmmm........
Yes but how did he know they (the other school had not taken action?) That is all protected by the privacy act.
ReplyDeleteLaw breaking? He broke the law when he took those records.
He knew what he was doing was wrong againest dept policy.
Then to top it off he trys to influence people at the W.I.A.A. by saying he is a cop.
Cops/police need to quit thinking they are something special. They are not. They have to follow the same rules as the rest of us.
apparently the rest of us are not following the rules - 40 underage kids at a teacher aid's house, many members of the football team who were pledged NOT to drink! The school not taking action when they knew of it - allowing the students to play - so who here is "following the same rules as the rest of us"?
ReplyDeleteNobody here can say for sure the school was NOT doing something about it.
ReplyDeleteThat is NOT information they can or do give out.
This cop was in the wrong for what he did JUST as much as these kids were for having this beer party.
The big difference is this cop is a adult, 20+ years on the force and did not know any better than to do what he did?
I think he was afraid the other school was not going to do anything. I will state again he would have NO way of knowing if the school took action or not.
That is covered under PRIVACY ACT.
With as much media attention that this got I can not see this school taking action.
He may have been trying to be the final nail, but he was out of line.
He broke the law. That was not his place to do what he did.
The cop was wrong.
Broke dept rules.
Tried to influence people because he was a cop.
I have always said I don't care if someone is a cop or a dog catcher if they are not a decent, honest person they will have no one's respect.
He was way out of line.
