Mailbag: I and E Club: Fun Invention Night coming Jan 9

Hi everyone! It's time to put on your Einstein Creativity Hats and join us for the annual Wacky Invention Contest! Please come January 9 with your sense of fun, and while you're at it, bring a few dollars to invest in our fundraising raffles. Who knows what prize you might take home with you?! See you soon. Sue Ready, Set, Invent! At I&E’s Wacky Invention Contest Claim your bragging rights as the world’s next top inventor at the Wacky Invention Contest hosted by the Evansville Area Inventors & Entrepreneurs Club. The club meeting and contest are set for Wednesday, Jan. 9, at 6:30 p.m. at Creekside Place, 102 Maple St., Evansville. The event is free and open to the public. Club attendees will be divided into teams and each team assigned a box of “treasures.” Team tasks will include concocting an invention from the treasures, naming the invention and successfully marketing it to contest judges . . . and all in the space of just 30 minutes. No creative venture can be complete without some tasty vittles and liquid “inspiration,” of course. The I&E Club will offer numerous refreshments catered by Valhalla Tacos of Stoughton, and a cash bar will serve sodas and drinks of a higher caliber. Attendees will also be able to take part in several raffles in order to raise funds for the I&E Club’s year-round (and free!) activities. The raffle prizes are valued at $15-$120 and include a Mikasa crystal picture frame, small kitchen appliances and even a silver diamond accent pendant from Zales. Please bring your wallets and give generously to this annual fundraiser for the club. RSVPs are appreciated. Please call or write Sue Berg at 608-882-0986 or suebergsolutions@gmail.com if you plan to attend this annual event.
