Planning Commission for Tonight Recheduled for next Monday at 6:30PM

The Evansville Planning Commission meeting scheduled for tonight has been rescheduled for next Monday night at 6:30PM. I will publish the agenda as soon as I receive it.

It seems to me that there is some ordinance or something that provides for the Planning meeting to occur x number of days before the Common Council meeting. And I am pretty certain it is more than just one day.

Did you get any information on how this scheduling change may impact the scheduling for the Council meeting? Did you get any information on why this scheduling change occurred?

I am actually a little surprised that a meeting can be rescheduled at all on such short notice without some sort of vote

This is not anything that has to be voted on by the council.
There is an ordinance that gives the PC the power to soley approve this type of issue without going to council.
At least this is what I was told by two council members.

I meant a vote by the Commission. As I learned subsequently, the meeting was not properly noticed so there was no choice.
