Boon Pickings is to be commended on his effort to increase domestic energy sources. He is absolutely correct in the need for the US to develop its energy resources. HOWEVER, he is wrong in one VERY important matter.OIL MUST BE DRILLED.alternative energy does not push freight trucks down our highways and delivery trucks in our cities.It does not Move freight across our railways.It does not keep our commuters on the road to and from work. It does not keep our airline industry in the sky. It does not move freight across the oceansand brages up and down our river.To say we cant drill our way out of this problem is a LIE. He does the nation a mis service to state otherwise.If the US does not drill and refine more oil the US standard of living will continue to decline for all americans.what the nation needs is an " open season " on ALL energy sources including gas ,oil and coal. Any effort that excludes fossil fuels will fail.
