Sometimes its like hearing 'fire' in a theatre in here. Sometimes.

  2. (Ed.note: the previous comment refers to a famous legal case: from Wickpedia)

"Shouting fire in a crowded theater" is a frequent paraphrasing of a quote from Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.'s opinion in the United States Supreme Court case Schenck v. United States in 1919. The quote is used to express the limits on free speech under the terms of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.

    [edit] The Schenck case
Holmes, writing for a unanimous majority, ruled that it was illegal to distribute flyers opposing the draft during World War I. Holmes argued this abridgment of free speech was permissible because it presented a "clear and present danger" to the government's recruitment efforts for the war. "

What happened to NOT more than 2 mil?

I think you people in goverment need to come up with a new plan to pay for the lake.

I don't just have extra money sitting around to pay for things that won't put money back in my pocket.

How bout if we start to save some money and in invest it things that would make money for us instead of only spending spending spending.

Your are suppose be smart people!

The people have spoken. If the citizens of Evansville were truly concerned with 2 million by itself, they would have voted no.

Just like my, "Don't blame me I voted for Ross Perot" bumper sticker, I think the Observer needs to get some designs going for the Lake Leota project.

Once the city pulled the drain plug on the bathtub, everyone knew this was going to happen, no matter what the cost or inconvenience.

All we can do now is smile and wave.
