I think one way we could save a little tax money is not to hire another public works employee. It seems like whenever any work like road repair and other projects it is hired out like the Water & Light Dept. does. I see that they have diggers and other equipment to do the work they hire out. To spend the amount of money to have a full time public works employee to mow lawns, pick up brush, and the other little things that they do would be better used in another place. I would think it would cost $45K with all the benifits???
