I would like to congratulate Sandy Decker on becoming Mayor of Evansville.
She is a strong and determined woman and I wish her well.

To those of you who voted for me and provided so much encouragement and
support throughout the campaign, I offer my heartfelt gratitude. One of
my goals in all of this was to come out with my friendships in tact. Not
only did that happen, but many have strengthened and I have made some very
good new friends. I couldn't have asked for more than that.

To the Internet community THANK YOU!!!!! I will admit to having sweaty
palms the first few times I posted corrections and responses, but you have
been more welcoming and understanding than I certainly expected. You are
now aware of my history with the Internet, and the joke in our home is Al
Gore invented it, I built it, and my husband sells it. Thank you for
allowing me to be a continued part of it.

To those of you who succeeded in all of the local races yesterday,
Congratulations! I wish each and every one of you well and I hope you find
the enjoyment and satisfaction in your service that I found in mine.
