Just for conversation sake, is there a monetary threshold? In other words, if Mr. Senn had long ago paid for the paper and the ink before he ever decided to run and printed 50 flyers on a PC has he violated the law? (Perhaps it cost him $5, maybe $10 from an accounting perspective, but he isn't sure because he bought the supplies long ago). I understand your point and the law, but at some point it seems silly if it amounts to disclosing, I printed this on my home PC.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, I have heard allegations against the city and various committees not following the letter of the law. It is probably a good thing to have someone involved that is familiar enough with statutes to ensure that they are followed or to diffuse rumors if that is all they amount to.
