The "Escape to Kissimmee:" deal----nice in a time of austerity
G. Water & Light Committee Report. Brooks made a motion, seconded by Hayes, to approve travel by the Water & Light Superintendent to attend American Public Power Association (APPA) conference in Kissimmee, Florida, at a cost of up to $2,750. Brooks explained the city’s policy requires out-of-state travel exceeding $500 requires Common Council approval. The conference is educational as well as to receive Reliable Public Power Provider recognition. Motion approved 7-0 on a roll call vote.

Really. If this conference was in Maine. Would he still want to go? I think not. Shame on them.
