Has the tide turned in Evansville? It seems so by the vote in Evansville. A majority of folks who voted in Evansville want the troops to come home. Statewide it is a mixed picture.
What are your thoughts on the election results? You make the call.
It proves nothing, it was damn close to "Sending the troops home immedieatly after a unquestionable victory"
ReplyDeleteIt proves that the majority of evansville who VOTED are in favor of the troops coming home now. I was stunned and excited to see the madison won in big way. I think the state of Wisconsin has sent a very clear message. But this just goes to show every Vote counts.
ReplyDeleteWhile I think the referedums go a long way to show Wisconsin's stance on the war, I still don't see that there will be any impact to the current administration's drive to stay the course. Frankly, the current administration has never listened to public opinion except for the favorable opinions that were falsely gained by the administration's false information campaign.
ReplyDeleteI give both referendums credit in highlighting the fact that Wisconsin cares about the troops and clearly distinguishing that support for the troops is not the same issue as having dissatisfaction for the war in general.
Going back to my original point, if anyone has a(n) answer(s) to what the vote in favor of pulling out the troops buys, I'd be anxious to hear about it/them.
Fear itself, Fred. Fear itself.
ReplyDeleteAnd spiders.
ReplyDeleteI think (I hope) we're seeing an awakening in Evansville. There's some agreement about the direction we've taken and some healthy debate about the areas of disagreement.
We need to keep building on the momentum and to keep everyone involved. My wife has a plaque which says," If two people always agree one of them is unnecessary."
Everybody is necessary to our local government.
