The results are in. Sandy Decker is the new Mayor of Evansville. Mason Braunschweig has won his race. Art Phillips and Tina Rossmiller are the new School Board members.
What is your take on the election. Was it a battle of signs? What was it all about? You make the call.
I don't think it was a battle of signs, signs can't vote. I think the mayoral race was very well run by both canidates.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the previous poster. Signs don't vote. They serve the singular purpose of making people aware of who is running for a particular office, but nothing more. They certainly do not explain what the candidate stands for, how they handle issues/adversity, how they manage research into issues, and how they communicate with the public and within the parameters of their job roles.
ReplyDeleteAs with any consumer decision, it comes down to being an informed consumer. By doing your homework on the candidate, an educated decision can be made instead of marking a name that sounds familiar or in the case of small races, the name of a relative.
