OpEd: Utility rate Cases that rely on Past natural gas rates MISLEAD:
Evansville is currently proposing a electric utility rate case to the PUC of Wisconsin based on a return on investment based on OLD natural gas rates needed to generate that electricity....HUH? the whole natural gas environment has been set on its ear with the vast supplies of natural gas that has been discovered due to fracking. Anyone following the natural gas developments knows that supply is up, inventory is up, and gas demand is down bigtime due to warm weather. Those who project the future costs of utilities based on the past are practicing organized deceit.
Make a note of it.
