Budget Corner: Library Addition Budgeted for $1,975,000 in 2010

In the five year capital plan distributed on Thursday night, the library addition was scheduled for 2010 at an estimated cost of $1,975,000. In addition to this cost, the land acquisition was listed as occuring in 2009 at a cost of $185,000.

    The budget assumes that the post office will be relocated, the land it sits on purchased, and an addition constructed.

    There are other options that are possible but these have not been discussed fully in a public forum.
