OpEd: Markets: Wall Street gets excited about retail, restaurant and temporary jobs:

Last Friday marked one of the firsts we have seen for a while---a time when positive news was seen as positive, with no negative spin....the 190000 jobs number was spun by the news media as nothing but positive...which is interesting since a job number that is almost totally retail and restaurant jobs is not the stuff of strong recoveries--ok., we all like eating outside in the outdoor patios...I loved it last night on State Street in Madison...but...it is going to take more than the thrill of the passing of the snow on the frozen tundra to make a solid recovery...stay tuned.
