The County Board doesn't have a clue when it comes to this issue. The job description for the proposed ME has less qualifications than the individuals currently in the office have. No death investigation experience required. They are not looking for an ME. If they want to improve services they will have to get an ME, which will require a whole lot more money. An ME salary alone is triple what the coroner makes. Plus they'll have to give them a real facility. Too much cost involved for the current situation our county is in.
