National EMT Week----Evansville EMT Deserves our Thanks
Thanks as well to all of you! But, to City Hall, why do you treat the service as a 'red headed little step child'? Considering the committment it now takes to get the training, maintain certification as an EMT, let alone all the federal govt. training mandates from NIMMS--PLUS the fact that the service is on call, 24/7, 365--It's bad enough they get the left-over buildings (unlike the F.D.), but why did the City NOT approve any kind of pay increase for them last year--especially since there is little chance of one this year either???? I kinda chuckle at the Mayor's Proclamation about how much we all need/appreciate Evansville's EMS, but, as they say, talk is cheap. They deserve so much more. Put your money where your mouths are, City Hall!!! REALLY show them how much you appreciate them!!!
Hats off the Evansville EMTs. Their service is greatly appreciated by everyone.
