Once again, Eco talks about everythign BUT the safety issue (in this article, it's 'jobs'.). Of course, they have to, because they know they can't win on that issue, since the facts simply don't support what they want to do.
Senator Erpenbach has yet to unequivocally reject this bill; he voted for it last time, after telling the Committee Chair he would not. Apparently, his interests do NOT include his constituents', and that should be remembered the next election, if he votes in favor of this bill. "Home Rule" must mean something different for him.
