Maybe this sounds bitter around the holiday season and all, but ever since I was 4-5, I knew Christmas would be December 25th. If you didn't save for the holidays, why would you be better off delaying the obvious. If anyone wonders why we are in the "financial crisis" that we are in, look no further than a vast amount of people who only live for the now. It is no different than not being able to afford a house, car, trip, blah blah blah. Saving money isn't glamorous, but it's proven.
