As a youngster growing up in the 50's, in a small town of 3000 on the edge of White Bear Lake, we had our share of crime-----and our one full time policeman took good care of it. He was on call during the night shift.
Since those days we have gotten tough on crime. And I have listened intently to the young lawyers who proceeded up the ladder of the legal profession and it seems that each generation wants to get tougher and tougher.....I just wonder how many policemen that town has now some 45 years later. I know how many our fair city has.
It seems just yesterday that the beloved mayor of New York who was the big crime buster was busted right out of his job when it was revealed that the rhetoric and the reality were just NOT the same.
I propose that: It's Over:: It's just the end of the line for the "Tough Enough" crooning songs---Cher did that song to ad nauseaum years ago....seeems none of the guys was tough enough for her type of love.
Are we goin to just get tough, tough, tough till all of the Wisconsin Supreme Court are members of the Wisconsin Manufacturers Council? Will it end then?
I just wonder.
You make the call.
Nah
ReplyDeleteIf they ever get all 7 Justices they're going to buy a governor who will reduce the SCoW to just one seat. Sort of the opposite of packing the court.
It'll be cheaper that way.
