Union Planning: 1-31-2008: On Siteing and Sound
Video: 3 of 3: Judge Tom Alisankus presents on the two key aspects of ordinance: The site location and the Sound impact
I am told there are several changes to the model ordinance being proposed. I wonder why the State isn't somewhat more open with the fact that they recognize 1000' to be too little. Industry pressure? I know of some dissertations being worked on by grad students at UW looking at just such issues.

I just want to thank the Observer for his time and efforts in bringing this information to people who want it from the source, not filtered. Great job again D.W. Thanks.
I live in Canada, and my community is facing the same thing as Evansville, It all seems like a big cover up by the powers that be. They are trying to put 26 within I would say 200- 350 feet of highly populated areas (subdivisons). They are not being very public about the affair and most of my neighbours don't even know it is happening. Thank God for people like the Observer who wants to get at the truth of the matter. I only wish I could see more of what the Judge had to say. And I would love to know where I can get the information he talked about having accumulated from the Scientists and Doctors that he said was readily available to the public. Is it on line somewhere?
Thanks for the comment. I am working on making this available----the section of the data which reviews the health impact (audiology reports) of closer siting as well as video of Judge Alisankus and the upcoming public hearing on 2-28-2008. Stay tuned to The Observer.
