These are the first three solar electric panels for the EHS student construction home at 6th and Badger. Another three will go up tomorrow aided by students in the construction class.
These six panels will provide 1 kilowatt of energy, and provide one third of the electric usage of the home.
More on the details of costs tomorrow.
This is great! Another way Evansville can become the energy alternative city - with solar electricity, windmill power and the biodesel plant (when it starts operation) we will be the model people look to. dWhen its all done I want to have a look and see if my house can use solar also. Is there a website that offers grants or other funding to go solar?
