Keynote Speaker: Economic Summit
1-12-2007--Evansville Economic Summit: Speech of Mr. Terry Whipple, Executive Director, Juneau Economic Development Corporation
I haven't been able to stop thinking about my experience at this event. The speakers were interesting and even inspiring. The people at my table were just delightful.
Most of what was presented and bantered around were ideas that have been heard before. I didn't hear anything new, nor did I expect to. Simply repeating good ideas can go a long way to making them happen.
What stands out the most for me, I think, is our High School. What an incredible resource that place is.
From the impressive facility itself, the teen aged support assistants, right down to the lunch spread (I wanted to take some of that fabulous soup home!!!), our school is a wonderful asset to our community.
