I don't it find amusing or informative speculates on how and who receives FEMA money and why. FEMA doesn't take the man made vs nature made into consideration. FEMA merely assesses the damage that has already occurred. It goes on to further speculate that the flooding is man made when in fact we don't know that to be true yet. I am of the minority that believe a moratorium on the west side building is not the answer. There is enough evidence to show that the situation is isolated small amount of water that we are talking about barely qualifies as a flood. It's inconvienient and a pain in the neck, it doesn't add any thing to the value of the property.
But a flood? Flood of minor porportion at best.

Will you say the same when a child drowns in the minor inconvenience?

This anon#1 is clearly someone who does not live on the WEST side in the water flooded area and hence has no clue.

If you have children and move into a house with a retaining pond next door and no fence, then how is that FEMA's fault? Your muckraking is not working. Your arguments are based in emotion and have no basis. Randy talks like all of the west side was 4 feet under water! I do live on the west side and it was all a do about a few inches of water that should or should not be flowing where it did.
It's all ready being handled by the mayor and her comprehensive storm water management program.

Anon its not just that house that sits next to the retaining pond, where have you been??? Hiding some where from all the rain??? The flooding issues are clearly documentated by Mark on UTube and various other pictures, and anyone who drove looked for them selves.. The ' mayor's ' plan??? That has yet to be proven, and it has not been dealt with until the next big rain hits and we see what happens. How nice it is you can joke a round about a serious issue. I don't believe that you live out in that area. NOT one person who does live in that area has come forward with their ' name' and has said ' it is no big deal.'

Does anon even truly live on the west side. ?? I find it hard to believe that anyone who was truly effected by this flooding would have this attitude. They have to much to lose
